Description: The painting depicts the image of Zuza Ostrowska’s heart. She has been my friend since our studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in Professor Jarosław Modzelewski’s Painting Studio. For almost a quarter of a century, she has been a companion to my artistic achievements and a confidante of my secrets. I feel sisterhood in our relationship. The feminine aspects has always manifested in her attitude as her kind and accepting presence. Through deep listening, attentiveness, and mindfulness towards me, she managed to create a strong influence on me. I would call her superpower as an action with no action. The symbolic image of her loving presence is her heart. The orange-pink color may be associated with a summer sky at sunset. Zuza loves this time of year. In her heart, I painted a nest with three eggs. This is a symbol of creative energy, the nurturing force that her friendship is for me.
