Description: The she-spider is an animal archetype closely linked to the narrative of the female line and inheritance through the female line (matrilineality). She-spider is an ancient great-grandmother who, according to the beliefs of the indigenous peoples of North America, weaves the story of the world’s fate. She-spider is a mistress of creating and living in the web. She receives its vibrations and impulses with her appendages. For me, this is a very important symbol indicating intuition, but also creative manual work such as painting. The four eyes of the spider are an important symbol of the goddess’s regenerative power and ability to see more. She-spider is also the totem of writers and poets. She is one of my animal patronesses. The painting is part of my Ph.D. thesis.
